book mock-up 1
Just finished this up last night, I have NO idea how to document this so I just scanned it real quick before my professor took it away for two weeks to grade it.
This is a screenprint I did for my children’s book. We were to illustrate a poem so I chose “Autumn Gilt” by Valerie Bloom. There are three layers, each printed on a new sheet of glassine and mounted on paper with washes of color. Really weird experiment, looks much better in person so I need to figure out how to shoot this properly. Also, I printed the copy on another layer but didn’t want to scan it cause it was kind of an after thought.
A really quick screen print I did yesterday for a demo. I’m not in love with it but it gives me lots of ideas!
I started my job cleaning/stocking the printshop this week. I got paid to learn how to use the vandercook letterpress, life is good. I need to teach myself the ins and outs of handset type and making photopolymer plates.
I did some variations of the same intaglio plate for my final. Here’s two of four.
